Custom Proposal vs. Estimate
All floral projects at Pala Floral begin with a conversation - allowing us a chance to connect, understand your vision, and get a sense of your style and space. If after our consultation you’d like to continue, you’ll have two paths to move forward- either with a Custom Proposal or an Estimate.
Both options are designed to give you clarity around your floral investment, but they serve different purposes depending on where you are in your planning process.
The Custom Proposal
A Custom Proposal is a detailed document with a creative plan that translates our conversation into a cohesive visual story for your event.
The Custom Proposal contains:
A refined color palette and styling direction tailored to your event or brand
Flower selections curated by seasonality and aesthetic
Visual mockups or inspiration boards for each deliverable to help you picture the final look
Itemized pricing for each floral element, rentals, and logistics (ie. delivery, set-up, full-service, etc)
Design notes explaining the intention behind each choice
The Custom Proposal is perfect for clients who want to see how everything comes together and value visuals to aid their decision-making. They’re definitely ideal for full-service weddings and brand events. Custom proposals are delivered within 1-2 weeks, with an optional meeting to review the proposal details.
Because of the time and creative development involved, the Custom Proposal is a paid deliverable. If you decide to book with Pala Floral, that custom proposal investment is credited toward your final balance.
The Estimate
The Estimate provides an itemized breakdown of the floral items discussed during your consultation, along with brief descriptions, quantities, and pricing details. It serves as a preliminary outline of your floral design concept and associated costs. The estimate may be refined or adjusted based on final design selections, floral availability, and any additional services requested before moving forward to a formal proposal or contract.
It’s a great option if you’re still getting a feel for price ranges or solidifying your budget. Ideal for those that want a quick overview before committing to full design planning.
Which Option Is Right for You?
If you’re a visual person and want to see your vision come to life to aid in your decision-making, I recommend the Custom Proposal.
If you’re still exploring ideas or narrowing down budget, the Estimate offers a great starting point.
Either way, both options are available to you to make your floral planning process feel easy, transparent, and inspiring from beginning to end!
